Perspective

Sometimes I forget that other people aren't used to high conflict in relationships. I was talking once with a friend of mine and he stated that once he had been so angry at a girlfriend that he had slammed a door.

I started laughing and confessed that I had been so angry at a boyfriend that he had had to jump out of the way as I drove down a sidewalk in an attempt to run him down.

  2. I can't say I have a very violent demeanour...I've never been in a relationship long enough to hate someone that much that I cared to hit them!! The one long term relationship I had was pretty much all rosy cos he put up with all my shit! :-)

  3. It's a good thing he jumped, lol. The worst I've done is push a la Elaine on Seinfeld.

  4. I've been in high conflict relationships more than I care to admit. I don't even tolerate door slamming now.

  6. jkg: heh - good point. Although I kind of want to be at a point where I see a door slam as the worst in a relationshp

Hotdudi: Ah, that's good that you don't have a violent demeanour although I do think you should give your brother in law a good slap

Torn: Oh, I don't think I saw that one, but I can imagine.

FM: Yeah, I hear you on that one. Mind you, the only door in my apartment is the bathroom door so that just wouldn't be as dramatic anyhow.

CD: This post is giving me a great idea of who my fellow drama queens are! I love it!
