Yeah, I have heard that as well. Supposedly hate can more easily transfer to love than indifference can because it is an intense feeling that means you ultimately care.
I can only speak for myself when I say that I have never once loved someone I felt hate for. Not tyhat I am an example of normal...
I can tell you right now I'd MUCH rather have someone say they hate me than ignore me. Oooohhhhh the ignoring gets under my skin. At least with hate, I know I hold SOME feelings over their head, with indifference, oh man. I hate indifference. I'm not indifferent about indifference, either. I HATE indifference.
"They" are right.
ReplyDeleteI've always thought the opposite of indifference was passion...
ReplyDeleteI've heard that too, but... meh.

Who cares?
ReplyDeleteRox: I agree.
ReplyDeleteEroswings: I think the opposite of passion is boredom.
Brice: For me it does work. There comes a point where the hurt and the anger and everything is gone.
Susan: I have switched back and forth. And normal is overrated anyhow.
Dantallion: You don't love me? [well, I guess you don't hate me either]
