Bye bye boyfriend

Not in a permanent sense, but my bf has gone travelling for the next month. It will be a much needed break in a very chaotic work schedule for him. For me though, it means I will be alone on Christmas, my birthday, and New Year's. Well, obviously not alone. Of course I have friends and family. It just is difficult that finally we were both in the same town and able to have a more normal pattern together when - poof! He's gone again. It will be interesting to see for both of us if this month pans out as "absence makes the heart grow fonder" or "out of sight, out of mind". Hopefully the former!

There's the phone, and texting, and... nah, it's kinda crummy he's got to be gone through the holidays.

I hate being alone right now. All the cutsie couples out there hugging and kissing and holding hands. And of course, now's the time for "feel good" movies.

Bah humbug.

We had a great week-end before he left [except for me being some sort of gross phlegm factory and him needing emergency dental work], but yeah, I'm feeling sorry for myself. Still, I'm excited for his trip. It's the perfect blend of travelling/visiting friends.

I'm with you completely on the 'feel good' movies.

I wish I could come spend it with you. Obviously there are some things I can't do, but I can take you out, get you drunk, and do some dancing.

I'm with Laverne on this one.

Another reason for loathing Christmas: All the Smug marrieds!

(Although, I'm sure if your BF was around, you wouldn't be smug. Would you?)

FM: Take me out and get me drunk - that's all I want anyhow. you are the bestest ever!

IDV: I don't think the bf has ever spent more than 2 days with me so I'm a long, long way from smug. In fact when he is faced with being in town with me over the holidays he flees the country. Hmmmm...

If I lived closer, I'd bring the liquor, you'd bring the laundry and we'd have a party.

Can you skype? That is almost like being there.

Stewie: And if we were really, really lucky, one of the local laundromat freaks would stop in and party with us.

Torn: Yeah, he suggested that actually. I just need to go and buy a headset.
