Taking a deep, deep breath

I am starting a new job in a few weeks. I gave my notice today.

It is so hard to let go. My current job is my whole identity. It's my passion and it's my love. But I'm getting stale. I don't see what needs to be changed anymore. I'm in a rut and I know that it's time to move on. Still, I'll miss this place so much. I don't think I'll ever get another library job like this one.

Here's part of an email I sent when ordering items a few months ago :

If you have time, can you please send the brochures in the mail (and you’re right – it’s the blow job tips that I wanted – and I feel bizarre typing that last bit…)

Sigh. Yeah, I'm going to miss working here.

All change is good. Savor your last weeks at the stale job.

it's good to be shaken up every once in a while. i agree with torn, change is good.

that doesn't mean it's easy, but it is full of opportunity.

you'll miss this place, but you'll carve yourself a niche in a new place too.

Yeah, asking for blow-job tips is priceless! New job, it'll be a good shake up for you.

Awww. I hope the new job goes well. I remember my job where a lot of the co-workers were really good friends, and the feeling when they went out of business. And not only, they demolished the building and re-built it. I sat and cried when they started tearing it down. I still have dreams about going back there.

All the best in your new position. As a person who hates change, I respect people who are brave enough to foray into unknown territory.

Torn: Actually, it's more me that's stale than my job!

Mainja: Thanks for the encouragement. It helps to read it.

CD: It was between that or brochures on safer rimming. We needed the blow job brochures.

FM: I know exactly what you mean.

MR: I'm not brave. Just realistic. It was too good an offer to pass up.

I remember the turmoil I had when changing jobs a few years ago...I loved that place & the people. I'll never forget them though, & I still keep in touch with them now. Where I am now is awesome though...& if it wasn't for all the things in between I wouldn't be here loving my job right?!

Wishing you the very best of luck in your new job Snooze :-)
