Pain ow hurt

I've been trying to be brave but I wrenched my arm quite badly when I went snowboarding on Saturday. It's my right arm and it freaking hurts to type or use the mouse. The bright side was that I hurt my arm on the novice run - as in, I graduated from the beginner hill. It felt so great to be on a steeper hill and actually managing it. Run one was fantastic. It was run two where I took a spill.*

I won't be able to board this Saturday as my arm and shoulder are too tender, but I will keep going now I finally feel like I. CAN. SNOWBOARD.

*I fell getting off the chairlift but let's just pretend that I had a really cool fall while going down the hill

I've only gotten really hurt from the chairlift exiting procedure. Oh and once getting on the chair too.

See, I cannot stand cold weather so anything that has to do with snow sounds so un-appealing. But you go girl!

I tried to learn snowboarding once a few years ago. About 3/4 of the way through the lesson I said fuck it, took off the board and walked the rest of the way down the hill, turned in the equipment and never, ever tried it again.

I'll stick to skis.

Don't you have to have a wild night life to snowboard?

Those freaking chairlifts are scary.

Sorry you're feeling bad. That really sucks. But YAY on the YOU. CAN. SNOWBOARD!! I've heard snowboarding is hard to learn but easy to master while skiing is easy to learn but hard to master.

Torn: Getting on the chair? Oh my...

CD: Oh I just love winter. I guess to each their own!

Dan: He has been great, and even helped me bring the cats to the vet for their annual shots.

Normlr: I can't blame you but once you get the technique it's the best feeling.

Tickers: Dude, I do. [laughs hysterically as I spend another night going to bed by 10pm]

FM: Yes, I sucked at skiing. I feel like snowboarding is a better overall feeling

Back in the '80s when the band Toto was still a big draw. They were about to go on stage at one of the German venues. Bass player Mike Porcaro slipped and hurt his arm. The band played three songs before they had to call it quits because Porcaro was in such intense pain. A doctor determined he'd broken his wrist.

The moral of the story is-- I hope your wrist isn't broken!
