Condoms work! and other news

Rox and I are the same age, but she is preparing to be a grandmother, and I'm on my way to experiencing motherhood. I think she timed it better, but each person's life works on it's own schedule and I'm just accepting that my moniker Snooze will be but a distant memory six months from now (touch wood that all goes well!).

Getting pregnant did make me realize how well condoms work. I've never been on the pill except for a brief 4 months when I was much, much younger. Sometimes I wondered if I was infertile all along and my choice of condoms only worked because I couldn't get pregnant. Yet, here I am in my 40s and after a few unsuccessful tries, TM and I are looking forward to becoming parents.

So there you have it. Slight queasiness, complete fatigue, and a whole bunch of worry and I have had little will to blog in the past three months. I'm feeling stronger now though. Keep fingers and toes crossed for me!

Not your legs though. I would never ask anyone to keep their legs together. Obviously I didn't.

CONGRATULATIONS! Oh my god, I can't imagine. Only because now I feel so old and run down from having kids. LOL! I'm so happy for you!
Get some sleep!

Congratulations, Snooze and TM!

Ah, the pitter patter of little feet won't just be the cats and dog anymore. But at least with the pets you've had practice picking up after poop!

Cheers!

Condoms USUALLY work. I had 2 break (after 20 years of practice), and will never use Trojans again.

Crikey! Congratulatioins to you both!

Every visit here seems to reveal another stunning bombshell of good news.
I was reading through the chicken-balls post to see if there were any subtles hints at the pregnancy that would make this post less of a surprise. Unsurprisingly, I couldn't make dumplings equate to babies.

CD: Thanks!

Rox: I can't imagine either to be honest.

Eros: I wonder how our zoo is going to react. Tasha has lived with a baby before, but the others haven't lived with one.

Lesley: Thanks!

Matt: You just needed the extra large. Anyhow, we need to catch up about your trip out east. Let me know when you guys are available.

Susan: Thanks! It's all a bit surreal right now. I look at the ultrasound and think, "really? That's inside of me?"

IDV: The only post that indirectly referred to my condition was the confession that I was trying to quit coffee. Nothing else would encourage me to take such action (ditto for alcohol, which I have stopped). My solo espresso is within the guidelines though.
