Let's roll!

I have found a roller blading group that meets somewhat nearby on Thursdays. The other trails that they are using are only accessible if you have a car, but I can get to Thursdays location by public transit. I'm going to try and resist joining a gym this year, but I need to do something as I am getting out of shape. I don't want to run and wreck my knees, but I think that I will join a yoga or pilates studio as well and work on toning.

Spring is feeling good. All about renewal.

I looooooooove rollerblading. I used to go in the rain, I was so dedicated. The only problem now is that I'm so fat and can't balance on the damned things and keep falling on my fat ass.

I will be living vicariously through you. And it will get you into shape and give you a nice tushie.

I have always wanted to try Pilates---let me know how it is if you go.

You know what you SHOULD do. Ditch the blades, grab some rollerskates instead, join a roller derby team, adopt a name like "Thunderlips" or "Raventhighs" and zoom around rinks at high speed crashing into those weaker than you. Yeah.

I have to agree with Tworabbitshow: Rollerskating is the way forward. Unless you can skate backwards?

Actually, I'm only saying that because last time I put on a pair of rollerblades, my ankles nearly snapped. So much for balance, poise & grace!

I hope you stay injury free.

Sounds good. I did the 1hour-45minute walk home today, enjoying the sun.
Although I think 2Rabbit has an idea...

FM: I fall on my ass all the time.

Susan: I'm trying to psyche myself up for it. I have no abs.

TRS: Good lord girl... snowboarding left me in pain all winter. I need a kinder, gentler summer sport

IDV: Last year it was painful, but considerably less so than snowboarding.

Brice: And your walk was uphill! Well done.

Wisdom: I think blogging comes and goes in waves. Thanks for stopping in! I am sooooo jealous that you are off to Edinburgh

I'm going to pick some up as well this year, I think.

Good idea. I've spent all year avoiding the gym and working on my house. I'm out of shape and my lungs are full of dust. Roller blading sounds like fun.

Katrocket: Are you abandoning the race car drivers?

Dantallion: You definitely should. I know you'll do this but - make sure you have protective gear. Including a helmet.

Tickers: I love it on proper paths. I'll work up to roads again! Working on the house sounds like great exercise though. no?
